Dr. Wendy Li | Founding Authority of Li’s Law | Global Expert in Intangible Capital & Data Valuation

I define the economic value of the Zettabyte Era.

As the Founder and Executive Director of the Moon Economics Institute (MEI), I bridge the critical gap between traditional accounting and the reality of the digital economy. My mission is to provide the empirical foundation for valuing the invisible engines of 21st-century prosperity—intangible assets and global data flows.

【Intellectual Sovereignty & Impact】

  • Architect of Li’s Law: Based on my pioneering research with Bronwyn Hall (Li & Hall, 2020), currently ranked in the Top 1% of Global Citations in Intangible Capital, I established the econometric framework for "Negative Depreciation" and the awakening value of data.

  • A Legacy of Rigor: Spent over a decade (2008–2021) as a Research Economist at the U.S. Department of Commerce (BEA), perfecting the measurement of intangible capital depreciation and global innovation.

【Global Institutional Recognition】

  • Elected Leadership: Currently serving as a Council Member of the IARIW (International Association for Research in Income and Wealth) for the 2022–2026 term.

  • Global Technical Authority: Recognized as a world-leading expert by the WTO (Data Flows & Trade) and the OECD (Data Valuation & Online Platforms).

  • Strategic Advisory: Previously served as an Expert Advisory Board Member for the European Commission and as an advisor for the University of Cambridge’s "Valuing Data" project. My research has been presented at the IMF, UN, WTO, and EUIP Office.

【Educational Pedigree】

  • Ph.D. in Economics | University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)

  • M.S. in Management Science & Engineering | Stanford University

  • MBA & B.A. in Economics | NCCU & NTU

【Current Mission: The Orbital Economy】
Through MEI, I am currently leading the first independent empirical audit of orbital data capital (SpaceX/Starlink). We are revealing the $1.9 Trillion valuation gap that traditional cost-based frameworks fail to capture.

Independent. Empirical. Sovereign.
